Production Workers
Severstal employs professionals in over one thousand various
blue-collar professions. The Company requires employees both with and without
work experience.
Severstal actively cooperates with educational institutions in the area of
primary and secondary professional education (Cherepovets Metallurgical
College, Cherepovets Industrial College, Professional School 27 in Cherepovets,
Professional School 50 in Sheksna, Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic College
in Kolpino, and others).
Each new employee receives an adaptation process i.e. works with a mentor on an individual basis.
The Company has developed an ongoing labor force training system that allows
one to master required knowledge and skills, develop and improve professional
qualifications that are needed by the businesses.
We utilize diversified training forms and methodologies that vary depending
upon the needs of the specific job and employees in training.
We train:
- at the Company's training centers and laboratories;
- on-the-job;
- at specialized educational institutions.
We give the labor force an opportunity to improve their qualifications,
enhance their professional skills to walk up the qualification staircase of their blue-collar jobs, master supplementary (related) jobs, learn a new, more sophisticated job to advance professionally.
The Company implements the program “Master Workman Reserve” that encourages
development of professional competencies and career development.
