Severstal Resources manages all Severstal‘s mining assets in Russia and abroad: two iron ore mining complexes Karelsky Okatysh and Olcon, a coking coal complex Vorkutaugol and a mine design institute SPb-Giproshakht in Russia, a coking coal complex PBS Coals in USA and a number of greenfield projects outside of Russia. In 2007 the gold segment was established. This now includes eight producing mines and a number of exploration projects in Russia, Kazakhstan, Burkina Faso and Guinea.
