Alexey Mordashov

Chief Executive Officer

Alexey Mordashov has worked for Severstal since 1988. He started his career as a senior economist, becoming Chief Financial Officer in 1992. In 1996, he was appointed as Severstal’s Chief Executive Officer. In 2002, Mr. Mordashov was elected Chairman of Severstal’s Board of Directors and served as Chief Executive Officer of Severstal Group. Since December 2006 he has been Chief Executive Officer of OAO “Severstal”.  Alexey is a graduate of the Leningrad Institute of Engineering and Economics and holds an MBA from the Newcastle Business School at the University of  Northumbria (Newcastle, UK).

Thomas Veraszto

Senior Vice President, Corporate Development

Thomas Veraszto joined Severstal as deputy CEO in 2003. Previously, Thomas worked at the court of appeal in Austria and spent 15 years at McKinsey&Company, where he was made partner. Thomas graduated from Karl-Franzens University (Austria) with a Doctor of Law degree and a Masters degree in philosophy. He has also studied at Zagreb University (Croatia), Leningrad State University and the School of Advanced International Studies of The Johns Hopkins University, Bologna Center (Italy).

Alexey Kulichenko

Chief Financial Officer

Alexey Kulichenko joined Severstal in 2005 as CFO of Severstal Resources, appointed CFO of OAO Severstal in July 2009.

Prior to joining the company, Alexey held leading management positions at  Sun Interbrew and Unimilk, where he was CFO.

Alexey Kulichenko,  graduated from the Omsk Institute of World Economy with a degree in economics.

Vadim Saveliev

Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations

Vadim has been Senior Vice President, Public Relations at Severstal since 2006. In 2010 he became a Sevior Vice President, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations. Vadim has over 15 years’ experience in the public relations industry. Having started his career as a journalist, he worked in various corporate affairs areas, including media and communications, public affairs and government relations. Vadim spent several years at the international headquarters of Philip Morris, where he was involved in strategic planning and the development of global programmes addressing a broad variety of public relations issues, such areas as product regulation, fiscal issues, litigation and marketing activities.

In 2003 Vadim founded a Swiss-based company specializing in public relations, marketing communications, design projects and training programmes for a variety of businesses, ranging from consumer electronics and the watch industry to pharmaceuticals, food and retail.

Vadim holds a BA degree in Languages from Moscow State Institute of Foreign Languages, Russia. In 2002 he completed an executive MBA programme with INSEAD, France.

Vladimir Lukin

Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs and General Counsel

Vladimir Lukin joined Severstal Group in 2004 as Senior Legal Advisor. In 2007 he became Senior Legal Advisor at OAO Severstal. In 2008 Vladimir was appointed as head of the international project department. In 2009 he was appointed as Senior Vice President, legal affairs and General Counsel. Prior to joining the company Vladimir was with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. He graduated in Law from the Moscow State University.

Andrey Mityukov

Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Andrey Mityukov has worked at Severstal since 2003, where he has held various HR management positions. In 2008 he was appointed Senior Vice President, human resources at OAO Severstal.  Prior to joining the company, Andrey held leading management positions at Henkel and SunInterbrew. He graduated from Leningardskiy Military Political Academy in 1988.

Sergei Kuznetsov

CEO Severstal International, CEO Severstal North America

Sergei Kuznetsov joined Severstal in 2002 to head the Business Planning Group created to acquire foreign assets and develop international projects. In 2004 he was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Severstal North America. In 2008 he became Chief Financial Officer of OAO Severstal.  In July 2009 Sergei became CEO of Severstal International and CEO of Severstal North America. Prior to joining Severstal, Sergei worked at the State Owned Foreign Trade Association Promsyrioimport (Industrial Materials Import/Export) and the Steel Trading Section of Moscow Representative Office of Cargill Enterprises, Inc. Sergei graduated from Bauman Moscow State Technical University in 1994, where he majored in Engineering. In 1998 he received his Finance MBA from California State University.

Alexander Grubman

CEO, Severstal Russian Steel

Alexander Grubman joined Severstal Resources in 2006 as Operations Director, becoming Chief Operating Officer later that year. In June 2009 Alexander became Chief Executive Officer of Severstal Resources. In September 2010 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Severstal Russian Steel.  Prior to  joining Severstal, Alexander held leading management positions at Coca-Cola Company, SunInterbrew and Unimilk. Alexander graduated from Moscow Technological Institute of Food Industries as a mechanic engineer.

Vadim Larin

CEO, Severstal Resources

Vadim Larin has been appointed as acting CEO of the Severstal Resources division, effective 1 September 2010.
Vadim joined Severstal in 2003 and has managed the Company’s coal operations at Untaugol and Kuzbassugol. Since August 2007 he has served as CEO of Vorkutaugol.

Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Larin worked at McKinsey & Company.
Vadim was born in 1970. He graduated from the Moscow State Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation. Mr. Larin also holds an MBA from INSEAD (France).
